Adrian Elmi-Terander is a senior consultant Neurosurgeon and an associate professor of Neurosurgery with over 20 years of experience. His main area of practice is spinal neurosurgery. His research is primarily cenetred on spine surgery, surgical techniques, and how to avoid complications, with a specific focus on surgical navigation technologies and augmented reality.
Erik Edström is an associate professor and Senior consultant neurosurgeon specialising in pediatric and spinal neurosurgery. Research interests include the fields of adult, pediatric, and spinal neurosurgery. Focus areas are intraoperative imaging solutions, augmented reality neuronavigainon, and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy for neurosurgery.
Gabriel is a project manager with several years of experience in event and conference management, fundraising, digital marketing, communications, and entrepreneurship. He has a wealth of experience in various fields including medical, philanthropic, and humanitarian sectors. He also has started different start-up companies in recent years in Sweden.
Victor is currently pursuing his (MD) at the Karolinska Institutet. During his academic journey, he has cultivated a profound interest in clinical neuroscience and neurosurgical research. His active involvement in various research initiatives in both Sweden and the United States has resulted in multiple published works focused on innovations within the fields of spine and neurosurgery.
Sara holds a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry and possesses a robust foundation in software-driven data analysis. She is handling project management, research coordination, course planning, and budget allocation. Her expertise in experimental design, team leadership, and grant writing helps us to interact with different stakeholders, such as academics, medical vendors, and clinics.
Sahel holds a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from Stockholm University. Her thesis focused on developing an Automated Discharge Summary System for clinical English texts using a BART model, showcasing her expertise in implementing large language models(LLMs) to generate summaries from hospital notes. Sahel’s experience with clinical datasets and diverse machine learning models equips her with the skills to apply advanced algorithms to the data, uncovering meaningful insights.
